Sprout Organic is an Australian children's nutrition company which makes organic, plant-based infant formula, and healthy plant-based snacks for kids.
Our mission is to provide children and their families with access to nourishing plant-based food products across the globe, starting right here in Australia.
Approved by leading paediatricians, dietitians, and food science experts, in June 2021 Sprout launched its highly anticipated flagship product: a plant-based organic infant formula, disrupting an industry that has seen little to no change for 120+ years.
Meet the founders (and their two little sprouts!)
Hi, my name's Jen.
My husband Sel and I are proud parents to two cheeky boys and are based on the sunny Gold Coast, Australia.
Like many parents, our feeding journey wasn't always straightforward. After breastfeeding both of our boys for over a year, when it came time to wean, we began looking for a formula option that aligned with our family's lifestyle and values.
As a plant-based family, we found ourselves taking a much closer look at the ingredients in the products available to us. What started as a search for a formula option that aligned with our values quickly became a much bigger discovery. There simply wasn't an organic plant-based option available anywhere in the world.
We wondered how many other families were facing the same challenge and whether there was an opportunity to create a wholesome, plant-based alternative made from real food ingredients. With my background in design and Sel's background in food science and product development, we decided to take on the challenge.
A few years later, we welcomed our second son, Kingston (our little koala, you may have spotted him on the packaging!), while continuing to build what would become Sprout Organic. Today, our mission remains the same: to create nourishing, wholesome, plant-based nutrition for growing kids and the families who love them.

The cute Koala character you see across our formula range is designed after our youngest son, Kingston (who’s still very much our little koala!).
Meet Ellis
Ellis the echidna is named after our oldest son, Ellis, who is the star of our healthy snack range (and a star role model to his little brother Kingston — he’s one busy Sprout!).
