Chocolate and Banana Junior Protein Popsicles
As parents, we’re often tested when trying to come up with creative ways to make sure our sprouts get their daily serves of nutrition. And when it comes to fussy eaters, it can be a real challenge to tick all the boxes when it comes to nutrients, convenience and taste.
So if you’re after a quick, easy and nutritious snack that satisfies little taste buds, our Chocolate and Banana Junior Protein Popsicles are hard to beat. Simply blend up this wholesome protein smoothie and freeze the mixture in moulds for cool, sweet and refreshing icy poles that are perfect for summer!
Included in the base ingredients of these popsicles is coconut yoghurt. This is a great source of probiotics and healthy fats, and in combination with fresh bananas, aid digestive health and help to give these popsicles a smooth and creamy texture.
We’ve also included nut butter in the mix for its dense nutrient profile and convenience. The nutritional benefits will vary depending on which type you choose to include in your mix, but we've chosen to use peanut butter to provide a healthy dose of protein, fats, calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc. Almond butter is another extremely nutritious option that’s rich in vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, manganese and phosphorus.
Tip: For a nut-free alternative to nut butter, try using sunflower seed butter!
The star of the show is our Junior Plant Protein Shake. Made with all-natural plant proteins, fruits and vegetables with added superfoods and probiotics, it's the all-in-one nutritional shake that supports all the growing, playing and learning involved in early life!
